PowerPoint Templates V. Layout

Your PowerPoint template is different than your PowerPoint layout. Your template provides the visual background (colors, pictures, graphics, gradients, textures, lines, etc.) upon which you lay your content.

Your layout is applied on every slide in the presentation. It’s how you want your content to be arranged on top of your template backdrop . (In the Toolbar: Format, Slide Layout…)
