Get some “Lorem Ipsum”

“Just put some Lorem Ipsum in the copy blocks for now,” I told the young designer.

He looked at me as if I were insane.

“You know. Greek it in. Dummy it up.” I explained.

He stared at me with scorn.

“Why didn’t you say so in the first place?” he asked with derision.

Silly boy. Don’t they teach these kids anything in arts & crafts school these days?

“Lorem Ipsum” have been the first two words of the dummy text for the printing and typesetting industries for centuries. And it’s the standard for web copy, too.

You can generate your Lorem Ipsum copy for free at any number of websites. But for my little designer boy, I recommend lipsum.com/ , so that he can get a brief education and history lesson to accompany his rudimentary design skills.

Couldn’t be easier.

(And yes, designer boy uses a MAC, which might explain his superior ‘tude. Especially when he has so little to feel superior about…)
