Technorati Post Claim

Technorati gives you three ways to claim your own blog.

  1. Use Quick claim, and your blog shows no links to Technorati.
  2. Use Post claim, and you get limited exposure, with only one post pointing to your Technorati profile.
  3. Use Embed claim, and you maximize your Technorati linkage and get a dandy widget in your sidebar with a blog search feature, a link to your Technorati profile, and a research stat showing how many other sites link to you.

All three claims are incredibly easy, and will only take a moment of your time. Here’s how to accomplish each one:

Quick Claim: Just enter the user name and password for your blog after you create your (free) Technorati account, and you are done.

Post Claim: This very post can be a “post claim”. All I do is paste some html code in this post before I hit the “Publish” button. Here’s the Post claim code, which points to my Technorati profile: Technorati Profile. Now, all I do is hit “Publish” and I’m done.

Embedded Claim: This requires a little html know-how (but not much!). With an embedded claim, you paste a line of html code into your sidebar template instead of your post.

Now, which method will you use to claim your post at Technorati?
