I stumbled upon the stumbleupon.com site quite by accident.

I reviewed my web stats, and saw that 300 people came to my site from stumbleupon.com/refer.php. So I went to check the site out — and fell in love!

Search engines are great when you are looking for something specific. But stumbleupon is unique. It lets you stumble upon stuff that interests you without a pointed search. I have already found many sites that interest me that I would never have found through traditional search.

Turns out that someone had stumbledupon my site and shared it with their friends — and voila! Over 300 word-of-mouth visits!

Go give it a whirl — I had a great time discovering and voting for fascinating new web sites! And I am so pleased that someone stumbled upon one of my sites and recommended it to their stumbleupon friends — it generated some terrific traffic.
