Online Begging Works! Free Natuba Invitation
Sometimes, online begging can work! Last week, I pleaded online for a Natuba invitation in my blog, so that I could aggregate my social media applications. Blog begging?
This week, Cory sends me an invite to the Beta Natuba program, so I’m in!
Natuba is delightful. So far, Natuba has been a delightful experience, letting me aggregate Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, my Blogger Blog, and this very (WordPress) blog, as well. Natuba also lets you aggregate many other social media accounts, as well — including photobucket, Live Spaces, TypePad, MySpace and LiveJournal.
One glitch…and one work-around. I tried putting in my feedburner feeds — but no luck. But hey, Natuba is in Beta — so I worked around this by putting in the atom feed that feedburner uses to burn my feed — and it worked just fine. (FYI: this is important to know if you have a Blogger blog that isn’t hosted at Blogspot. You’ll have to use the original feed address instead of your feedburner feed or blog URL to add your blog content to Natuba — for the moment. Like I said, Natuba’s in Beta, so they may be working on this issue. But it’s no big deal…)
Easy interface, too - it didn’t take but a few minutes for me to create my Natuba page. This page aggregates most of my social media content. So it’s sort of like my total social media portal, allowing people to peer into content that sprawls across a variety of SM platforms. Very tidy…
The Natuba Badge. And it only took a few moments to create the Natuba badge you see above, too. Like the Twitter Badge, the Natuba Badge constantly updates with the freshest content. There’s only one Natuba badge option at the moment, but I can easily envision the clever social media community constructing more.
Four free invites left! Now that I have a Natuba account, I have four free invitations to give out. First come, first serve. Leave a comment below to get an invite…
Good stuff!

Wild west — at this point, you don’t need an invite anymore. You can just go to Natuba and sign up for free!
If Natuba is so great… Why haven’t you updated it. I followed your link to your profile and don’t see much. You seem like you would be pretty active there. Just wondering if it has been as effective or useful since March,2008
Brandon:
Thanks for writing!
In March, I thought Natuba sounded very promising — but…
So far, it has trashed most of my content.
Twice.
It’s more of an exercise in frustration than an effective tool for aggregating my social media content.
So, you’re quite right — I’m not active there!
I’m much more active at friendfeed — which IS doing a better job of aggregating not only my updates, but the social media updates of my friends!
Tell me — where are you online? As a fellow West Michigander (Michigoose?), I’d be happy to follow…
All the best…

I would love an invite!
