Using Jott to Twitter and Blog…

Jott RocksJott.com rocks.

I have been using this free service to send email messages to clients, colleagues, and friends while I am on the road. I simply:

  1. Dial the Jott toll-free number.
  2. It asks, “who do you want to Jott?”
  3. I say the name of a person whose contact info I have uploaded to Jott from Outlook.
  4. I speak a 30 second or less message into the phone.
  5. Jott transcribes my spoken message to a written message — and delivers it via email to my contact.
  6. Jott asks if I want to Jott anyone else on my list. If I do, I say another name. If I don’t I hang up.

That’s it. Easy-Peasy! The Jott number is programmed into my cell and land lines. I even use it to send reminders to myself. If you check the link, you can hear what I told myself to do, and check the accuracy of the written transcription. Pretty darn good! (Sometimes, it really mangles a last name, though! It doesn’t know what to do with “Bergells”, for instance!)
And now, Jott adds extra functionality. You can use Jott to post at Twitter. You can use Jott to post short blurbs at a variety of hosted platforms like Blogger, Wordpress, Jaiku and Live Journal.

Driving past a house and want an estimate, er, Zestimate? Just Jott Zillow – you’ll be prompted to give the address of the property in question. Jott will email you an estimate on the property in a few minutes. This is a handy service for real estate agents as well as homebuyers and sellers, no?

Crazy good. And you cannot beat the price.

You might wanna check out Jott.
