The dirty secret behind “making” people like you often involves crass manipulation. Hey, lots of people are predators. And lots of people are prey. They belong together.
As for the rest of us, nothing seems to work better than being friendly and sincere. We tend to attract others who are friendly and sincere.
That’s the law of attraction for you: like attracts like.
Oh, the honest and sincere may not attract as many people as predators. But that’s seldom the point.
Be clear about what you want to attract. One worthwhile person — or 10,000 victims that lure 10,000 others into a snare?
Just how many clicks (or kisses!) do you need to make a good life for yourself?
