Can FaceBook Get You Out of Jury Duty?

Can FaceBook Get You Out of Jury Duty?According to my LinkedIn stats, I’m about 4 people away from “knowing”, like 19 million people. Hmm. Huh.

So perhaps I should all check my LinkedIn and FaceBook profiles before I get hauled in for jury duty. That way, if I I’m  asked if I know the defendant — I can easily document that one of my “friends” knows a person who knows the person. By arranging an introduction, maybe I can skate the jury pool.

Me and the accused? We’re pals, y’see? I got proof…I gotta digital trail.

LinkedIn claims to help you “Succeed by finding the people you need!” Instead of using FaceBook and LinkedIn and such to find sales leads, job candidates, business partners, industry experts, et. al.,  — why not use it to help you find a nice link to the defendant?

I’m not a lawyer. I’m just thinking out loud here –
